As usual, life has been busy in our neck of the woods.  I enjoyed a nice, quiet week while the two oldest kids were in Ohio with my parents.  I got caught up on many things and even enjoyed a few naps.  But I was so ready to see Jake and Evelyn when we got to Ohio.  We had to take a rental van because our poor van was in the shop getting a new transmission.  Now we have it back and are back to having two vehicles again.  While in Ohio, we got to meet the lady who will be renting our house there.  She seemed really nice and I am glad that the financial burden of paying for two houses has been lifted from our shoulders.  We were able to spend time with both of our families and the kids really loved seeing everyone, but it's always nice to be home again.  We were very sad to find out that our little kitten went missing while we were gone.  We left him plenty of water and food, but he still wandered off.  When I got home I set out a new bowl of food, only to find a big cat eating it later.  So I don't know if the cat ate it all and scared Mittens away, or if Mittens ate it all and then went to live with another family.  Evelyn still goes out every day in search of her beloved pet.  It's very sad.

This past week we finished up the letter I in school.  Here are some highlights:

I is for inchworm.

math time- marshmallow graphing and writing the number zero.

i collage

The older kids are reading The Adventures of Dr. Doolittle.  They made monkey bridges out of play-doh.

Jake's is a little hard to see, as he chose black.

We ended the week with an ice cream party to celebrate completing the letter I.

Earlier today (before the rain started), the kids were playing out in the sprinkler.  Here's a few pics of that.
